Available for Development
The space available for new development in Shorewood is very limited. The map below is from the last Comprehensive Plan. Land available for development is marked as grey or green and white slashed. The large grey area in the middle is now the golf course development and is no longer available. New development will largely have to come through development of "open space", which generally has wetlands or other environmental features that make the property difficult or impossible to develop.
Fortunately for developers, most of the "open space" is zoned for development - if the City can be convinced to absorb the challenges of development - as shown below, from the Comprehensive Plan.
